Obituary for Franklin "Frank" Adcock
ADCOCK, Franklin D., age 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 14, 1941, to Eddie Adcock and Alice Barnes Adcock. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Adcock Construction. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Alice Adcock; infant daughter, Marilyn Adcock; stepson, Frankie Lynn Hendley; brothers, Charles, Robert, Miles and Edro Adcock; and sisters, Mary Merritt, Dolly Biggs, and Julia Brown. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Louise Campbell Adcock; son, Dwight “Bubba” Adcock; daughter, Joyce Nichols (Mark); stepsons, Mike (Sally) Lamb and Dennis “Cooter” Lamb; brother, Jerry Adcock (Marie); sister, Mable Allen; grandchildren, Shane and Matt Nichols and Taylor Tucker and Brooke Melendez; and great-grandchildren, Macikate Shumake and Sydnee and Scarlett Melendez. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Cowan Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 11am until 7pm and on Saturday, April 2nd from 10am until service hour of 2pm.
