A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at Faith Community Church, 2706 4th Avenue, in Canyon with Pastor Vondel Stevens officiating.

Joe Beagle was born October 28, 1923, in Ellis County, Okla. to John Martin Beagle and Erma Bradley Beagle. He married Billie "Bea" Hutson on April 22, 1944, in Cheyenne, OK. They had two sons and one daughter.

They resided in Trinidad, CO, Borger and Cactus, TX before moving to Canyon in 1968. Joe worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. in their refineries for 23 years before becoming self-employed as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry in 1968. He spent many years traveling and working in many states until he retired at age 71.

Joe met his wife Bea when she was in 1st grade where they attended the same country schoolhouse in Ellis County. He said he fell in love with her in grade school. He attended High School in Arnett, OK and later attended classes at Frank Phillips Jr College in Borger.

He will be remembered for his generosity, compassion for those in need and his sense of humor. He was an active member of the Apostolic Church in Dumas, TX and later Faith Community Church in Canyon.

He was "adopted " into his wife's family - the Hutson family. He considered them and their extended families as his family.

He was preceded in death by his son Eric L Beagle in 2004; his wife Bea in 2008; his son Martin L Beagle in 2009; his son-in-law Warren in 2010 and his grandson David and grand daughter-in-law Kendal of his home.

Special mention goes to his nephew Gary Beagle and Ethel Beagle Dotson of WA, Tom, Steph, Sarah, Patrick, Mardee, Sherri and Linda.

Survivors include his daughter JoAnna Beagle Gisch of his home; a daughter-in-law Sarah Burns Beagle and grandson Patrick Beagle of Albuquerque; granddaughter Skyla Beagle, husband John and two great grandsons Oceane and Colten of AZ; and granddaughter Kate Beagle of CO. He is also survived by an elder brother Quinten Beagle of Ellis County and a younger brother Bob Beagle of Perryton, TX.

In lieu of flowers, Joe requested any memorials be sent to Zelma Cemetery, c/o Robert Heglin, PO Box 158, Gate, OK 73844.
