Fern Millie Keyser, was born at Miller, Nebraska on March 5, 1889. She died at her home near Litchfield, Nebraska, November, 26, 1931 at the age of 42 years, 8 months and 21 days.
She was united in marriage to John E. Daugherty on the 28th, day of February, 1912, to this union were born four children: Muriel Genevea; Ila Helen; John Emerald; and Ima Evelyn.
Mrs. Daugherty became a member of the Christian church at Miller, Nebraska when a small girl. In 1918 she, with her husband and family, came to Litchfield where she united with the Methodist church in 1924. She was a beautiful Christian and a very active worker in the church. For several years she was the efficient teacher of a large class in the Sunday school. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbor and Rebekah lodges.
Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her father, also three brothers and one sister: Charlie, Fred, Claude and Myrtle.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband and four children; also her mother, Mrs. Mary Keyser of Miller, Nebraska and five brothers and two sisters, as follows: Jess Keysen, Harvey Keyser and Mrs. Gladys Anderson all of Miller, Nebraska, Mrs. Nell Brown and Lawrence Keyser of Litchfield; Emmet Keyser of Arnold, Nebr. and Lester Keyser of Kearney.
Funeral services were held at Litchfield on Friday, Nov. 27th. Interment was made at Miller. Rev. A.W. Johnson of the Litchfield M.E. Church was in charge of the services.
