A.J. Marek Dies at 66

Mr. Albert Joseph Marek, 66, 5208 Haverill Drive, died Friday.

He was a past commander of Memorial Post 19, American Legion, and past chief de gare of the 40 et 8 here. He was one of the founders of Sheriff's Mounted Posse and of the Good Fellow Movement.

Mr. Marek was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and of Orange County Barracks 237, Veterans of World War I. He served in the cavalry during World War I.

He was retired from the Cleveland, Ohio, mounted police and the Florida Highway Patrol in Orlando.

Mr. Marek attended St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

He came here in 1931.

Widow, Wilma R.; son, Albert A., Orlando; daughters, Mrs. Leah Cox, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Madge Fletcher, Orlando; brothers, Frank, Dan, Steve, Tom, sisters, Mrs. Anna Zavesky, Mrs. Agnes Tupa, Mrs. Rose Wolfe, Mrs. Lillian Wilson, all of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren survive.
