Mitchell W. Johnson, 78, retired Lebanon merchant, died yesterday morning in McFarland hospital in Lebanon, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at the First Baptist church, with Dr. A. H. Hopson officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Dovie Ligon; two sons, Ira and John H. Johnson, both of Lebanon; six daughters, Mrs. E. C. Merritt, Mrs. Harry Wright, Mrs. Ernest Eddings, and Mrs. Herbert Partlow, all of Lebanon, Mrs. A. W. Ewing of Clarksville, and Mrs. W. M. Whiteside of Nashville; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
