Mrs. Anna Belle Pierce
Mrs. Anna Belle Pierce, 85, mother of the late Mrs. Harry Sacket and grandmother of Mrs. Skifter (Dorothy) Lassen of 114 Cliff, died at 6:30 a.m. today in Dowling at the home of Miss Elizabeth Smith, with whom she had resided for the last two and one-half years. Mrs. Pierce had been in ill health the last three years and seriously ill the last month. She was born Anna Quinn in Seneca County, New York on March 1, 1862. She moved to Climax over 50 years ago, and had lived in or near Battle Creek since. Besides her granddaughter, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Yates of Vicksburg.
