Julia Blanche Felker, 76, of Frostburg, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on July 27, 1939 in Cumberland to the late Ellsworth and Helen (Gracie) Filer. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Cloice Filer and a step brother, Ellsworth Filer Jr.
She was the last surviving member of her family.

Mrs. Felker was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church and acquired a Master’s Degree in Education from Frostburg State University. She was a retired Elementary School Teacher giving 29 years of teaching with the Allegany County Board of Education. She loved her dogs.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Amos “Andy” Felker; a daughter, Amanda Felker and granddaughter, Morgan.

There were no visitations or services in accordance with her wishes.
Immediate burial was held on Monday, March 21, 2016 in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Blanche requested donations to the Allegany Animal Shelter, 716 Furnace St., Cumberland, MD 21502.
