Aubrey Marie Van Sickel, 35, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016, of Huntingtons Disease.
Aubrey was born November 1, 1980, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter or Kevin and Delene Hafner Van Sickel. When the family returned to Topeka in 1992, Aubrey attended Holy Name Grade School and Hayden High School for three years, graduating in 1999 from Seaman High School. Aubrey always enjoyed working with young children and was a para-professional at Head Start. She was a member of Mater Dei Catholic Parish.
Aubrey leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Sierra Van Sickel; her mother, Delene Van Sickel (Mark Dechand); brother, Nicholas Van Sickel; grandfather, Raymond Hafner; and grandmother, Patricia Van Sickel. She was preceded in death by her father, and sisters, Brianna and Celessa Van Sickel.
Aubrey’s family will greet friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church, where a rosary will be prayed at 10:45.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.
