Ida May Wilson was born May 26, 1876, in Grey county, Ontario, Canada, to Annie and Hugh Wilson, and passed from this life on Sept. 19, 1952, at the age of 76 years. She was the second child of a family of 15.

At the age of 16 she joined the Proton branch of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was married to Thomas Campbell July 3, 1901, and set up housekeeping on his farm in the neighborhood. Six children were born of this union.

The family moved to Lamoni in December 1915, eventually settling on a farm southeast of town. It was here that Mr. Campbell passed away Dec. 1, 1925.

In 1932 she moved to Kansas City, Mo., where most of her children were living. On Sept. 16, 1937, she was married to George W. Lasley and they returned to Lamoni where she resided until her death.

She is survived by her husband, George W. Lasley; three daughters, Mrs. Vera G. DePew and Mrs. Annie B. Miller of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Gladys J. McMurdo of Kodiak, Alaska; two sons, Russell W. Campbell of Galesburg, Ill., and Charles E. Campbell of Kansas City, Mo.; five brothers; five sisters; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.

One son, John M. Campbell, died as the result of a car accident Aug. 31, 1950.
