The Greenwoodd Daily Journal carried the obituary of Nancy Heib: "Nancy Heib, 72, of Greenwood, passed away at 10:23 a.m. Aug. 7, 2015, in Indianapolis.

She was born as Nancy Ellen Letcher on Feb. 5, 1943, in Pawating Hospital in Niles, Berrien County, Michigan, to the late Paul and Thelma (Bliss) Letcher.

Nancy graduated from Cassopolis (Michigan) High School in 1961.

She married Hermann Heib on Feb. 23, 1963, at Ninth Street Methodist Church in Three Rivers, St. Joseph County, Michigan. They were blessed with three daughters.

They first made their home in Three Rivers and in Vicksburg, Michigan. They then had a home built at 5299 Whippoorwill Drive in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for 31 years, from 1969 to 2001, where her husband worked for General Motors for 35 years, from 1965 to 2001.

Since her husband's retirement in 2001, they made their home on Annelo Drive in Greenwood.

Nancy worked as a receptionist for a number of years, as a telephone operator and in the security department of Hudson's Department Store in Kalamazoo.

Nancy was an avid genealogist and had researched 27 surnames in her family tree. She also wrote books on two of the surnames. Nancy also loved to watch and study backyard birds.

Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Nan Roberson of Indianapolis, Lisa Brodasky of Fort Wayne and Lori Mucci of Greenwood; and six grandchildren, Kristina and Richard Roberson, Nicholas and Christopher Brodasky, and Austin and David Mucci.

Private services have been conducted. Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, Greenwood."
