ALLEN, George Bradford "Brad" - 84, Villa St. Joseph, formerly of Woodstock Road, died January 12, 2005, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Woodstock, Yarmouth Co., July 18, 1920, he was a son of the late George Bell Allen and Barbara Ellen Hurlburt. He was a member of the Lake George Baptist Church. He served in the Armed Forces as a peacekeeper. He worked as a fish splitter in the Port Maitland Fish Plant and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his daughters, Shirley E. (Ricky) Boudreau, Woodstock Road; Barbara W. (Ron) Doane, Dayton; Yvonne M. (Denton) Smith, Bridgewater; Linda L. Yake, Vancouver Island, B.C.; Phyllis L. Ellis, Calgary, Alta.; son, A. Bradford (Nancy) Allen, Yarmouth; 17 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Margaret (Ellis) Allen; grandson, Bobby Reeves; brothers, Neil, Everett, Charles and Lindon; sisters, Margaret, Dorothy and Viola. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel, Rev. A.D. "Bill" Newell officiating. Interment in Lake George Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Lake George Cemetery.
