OBITUARY: Wesley W. Short, 58, of Apalachin, died Jan. 6 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of the Apalachin Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years and was an honorary member of the Little Meadows and Warren Center Volunteer Fire Departments. He was a member of Ross Corners Baptist Church and the Endicott Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Apalachin-Little Meadows Senior Citizens Club, and on the board of directors of Apalachin Cemetery Association.
He is survived by his wife, Marian of Apalachin; two sons, David of Endicott and Dale of Apalachin; one daughter, Katherin Berg of Endicott; one granddaughter; a brother, Ashley of Endicott; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Miller of Lakeland, Fla.; one aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was to be held today, Jan. 9, at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Apalachin. The Rev. James Short officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin.
