June Hester Carr Robertson of Monroe, GA passed away on March 20, 2016. June was the daughter of the late Charlie H. Carr and the late Ruth Armstrong Carr; wife of the late Thomas L. Robertson; and aunt of the late Beth Barnes Beasley. She is survived by her daughter, Teressa Ann Malcom Tanner; granddaughters, Emily, Meredith, and Natalie Tanner; sister, Norma, and brother in law, Conrad Barnes; niece, Laura Barnes Pakula; great nieces and nephews, Rebekah and Gordon Beasley; Frank and Elizabeth Pakula. June was an avid bridge player, golfer, and enjoyed crafts, reading, the Pilot Club of Monroe, and was the "best cook around." She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe, teaching in the childrens department for many years. Funeral service was held at the Monroe First Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 with Interment at Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donation in memory of June to the First Baptist Church Childrenâ??s Program at 202 McDaniel St. Monroe, GA 30655.
