He has gone from us, the loved one
Longer here he may not stay;
Jusus wanted him in Heaven,
So he took him far away.
We will miss our darling child
For no more on eath well ever see
The joyous face and laughing eyes,
So full of childish glee/
But friends must say a little brother,
The Lord He gave and took away;
His name be blest for evermore
Let him be our perpetual stay.
The forget not he is happy now,
Resting in his dear Saviors Arms,
Away from this vile world of ours,
And sheltered from all death's alarms.
