Amelia Virginia “Wookie” McAboy, age 73, a resident of Winchester, VA passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home in Winchester.
A graveside service for Mrs. McAboy will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Stephens Cemetery, Strasburg, VA with Evangelist Charles Doughty officiating.
She was born in Frederick County, VA on October 10, 1942 a daughter of the late Wilco Lattney McAboy, Sr. and Lena Mae Lonas McAboy. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Mountain View in Winchester, VA. Wookie loved her teddy bears, watching CSI and shopping. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, ODella “Sis” Atkins, Marshall McAboy, Sidney McAboy, Henry McAboy and Betty McAboy.
She is survived by two sisters, Rachel Neff and husband, Ronald and Shirley Gail McAboy and a brother, Wilco L. McAboy and wife, Marion all of Winchester, VA.
