Ashland, Feb. 12- Mrs. Sarah J. Christie, of San Pedro, Calif., formerly of Ashland, died Sunday, at the home of her son Roy E. Christie in San Pedro.
Mrs. Christie was born Feb. 12, 1874, in Elkhorn, Ky., a daughter of Stephen and Hester Hardin Cave. She was married in 1892, to James R. Christie, who died in 1947. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Ora Hinds, of Springfield: a son, Roy E., of San Pedro. Calif: Mrs. Monte Christie, San Diego, Calif: three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Decedent was a member of Ashland Baptist church. The body is at the Gainer funeral home, in Ashland, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ashland Baptist church. Rev. Wesley Smith will officiate and burial will be in the Ashland cemetery.
