Ruth Corine Maxwell passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016, at the age of 97. Born on July 20, 1918 in Sanger, Texas, she was the daughter of Isom Ray Belcher and Mary Launa (Gee) Belcher.

On September 10, 1941, she married A. L. Maxwell in Pilot Point, Texas. A. L. and Corine made their home in Fort Worth. He preceded her in death in 1990. She worked at General Dynamics and was a member of the College Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Corine was a graduate of Sanger High School in the Class of 1935. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living ex-student of Sanger High School.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Hazel Belcher and Dorothy Masten, and three brothers Earl Belcher, Glenn Belcher, and Jim Belcher. Left to cherish her memory are three sisters, Doris Davis of Sanger, Elizabeth Belcher of Arlington, and Snowflake Hurst of Tyler, one brother George Belcher of McKinney and many nieces and nephews.
