Neva Mary Adams was born July 28, 1923 in Lucas County, Iowa to Gideon and Zora Miller Boozell. She passed away, Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Norwalk, Iowa at the age of 92 years.
Neva was raised in the Salem Community. She graduated from Chariton High Scholl and lived in the Chariton Community for many years. In 1978, she moved to Melcher, Iowa and later moved to Norwalk, Iowa in 2007. She married Leland Adams on August 10, 1941 at the Norwalk United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed camping, Blue Grass music festivals, and attending the State Fair. She also enjoyed crocheting and making quilts for all of her grandchildren.
Neva is survived by her children, Donald (Phyllis) Adams of Norwalk, Iowa,Joanne Hawkins of Monmouth, Illinios, Gene (Tula) Adams of Chariton, Iowa, and Gary (Verla) Adams of Omaha, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland Adams; special friend, Bill Harvey; three grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond and Dean Boozell; and her sister, Ruth Jennings.
