OBITUARY
Died December 23, at Lundy, Henry W. Altis, and was buried in the family cemetery near Bear Creek school house, Dec. 25, 1916, the Rev. C.D. Fry conducted the funeral ceremonies. Mr. Altis was born in Virginia, February 1, 1862, being at the date of his death, 54 years, 10 months and 22 days of age.
He became a citizen of Texas county in 1888, where he had since claimed home.
Several years since he was stricken with paralysis from which he never recovered, and died very suddenly from what was supposed to be paralysis of the heart. He was the father of five children, one dying in infancy, one is in the United States navy, one is in Wyoming and two at home with the mother. Besides his many friends he leaves his four children and widow to mourn his loss.
