ELKTON, Jan. 9 – Mrs. Sarah Merica, 67, widow of John G. Merica, died at her home near Verbena Saturday evening at six o’clock. She lived her entire life in this community and had many friends.
She is survived by these children: Mrs. Nellie Breeden and Mrs. Lillian Lam, of Elkton; Mrs. Leola Miller and Mrs. Elizabeth Lam, of Shenandoah; Harry Merica, of Shenandoah; and Lester and Marcus Merica at home.
She also leaves nine grandchildren and two brothers, William Bruce, of Elkton, and Thomas Bruce, of Madison.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the Elkton EUB Church, the Rev. S. J. Westfall officiating. Burial will be in Elk Run cemetery.
