LINDA M. BOWERS, 56, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016, with her family by her side. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Merlin Bowers and Delores (Gibson) Schmidt. She previously was a unit clerk at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne and was a member of Victory Life Church, New Haven. Linda enjoyed her family and was known by many others as giving words of encouragement by sending cards to those in need. She had many hobbies; floral design, quilting, quilling, photography, crochet, playing the piano and singing. She is survived by her siblings, Alvin (Deb) Bowers of Monroeville, Cathy Glover, Cindy Bowers, and Laurie (Chad) Black all of Fort Wayne, Robert Bowers and Brenda Bowers both of New Haven; and stepfather, Alfred Schmidt of New Haven. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 SR 930 E., New Haven with calling two hours prior. Burial in St. Louis Besancon Catholic Cemetery, New Haven.
