Samuel Thomas Rigsby, 81, of Clinton, died at 8:45 am on March 19, 2016 in Clinton Gardens Nursing Home. He was born November 30, 1934 in Paris, IL to Samuel E. Rigsby and Jessie Pierce Rigsby.
He was retired from Paitson Roofing, where he worked in the warehouse. He was a US Air Force Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Teamsters and formerly a member of Isaak Walton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Mary Bonnie Lubovich Rigsby, whom he married May 22, 1954 in Clinton; two daughters, Audie Jo Rigsby Jackson and her husband Dale of St. Bernice and Kris and Brian Powell of Rockville; two sons, Samuel Jo Rigsby and Kristi Sims of Paris and Jim Rigsby of Clinton; one brother, Robert Rigsby of Clinton; two sisters, Katherine Rigsby of Clinton and Sally and Tony Natalie of Clinton; five grandchildren, Jodi Leigh Jackson, Justin Jackson, Adam Powell, Logan Powell, and Sydnee Rigsby; two great-grandchildren, Renner Jackson and Ryder Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday at Spangler Cemetery with Reverend Ansil Harpold officiating. Military rites will be performed
