Cooper, 3019 Mercy Street, was found dead of gas in the kitchen of his home Tuesday (4 August) afternoon. The body was found by his wife when she returned from a shopping trip with their daughter, Mary Jane, about 7 o’clock. Beside the body was a note indicating despondency. The body was taken to the Brailey & Dorrance mortuary. Cooper was an interior decorator.”
Roy was buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Tama, Tama County, Iowa. The plot was purchased by his wife Faye Etta Cooper.
