Ms. Maggie M. Fine, age 87, of Newport, passed away Thursday evening, March 17, 2016, surrounded by her eight children and several grandchildren.
Maggie was born into this earthly life on April 2, 1928 and was born again into the kingdom of God on February 20, 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clellan and Rosie McCarter; sisters Pearly Coleman, Ruby Shults, Tavy Finchum and Ethel Bryant; and two infant brothers and son-in-law E. C. Baxter.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice of Newport, caregivers Charlie Grooms, Victoria Morgan, Amber Norris and Latisha Beason, Chaplain Ron Carrell and Jabo’s Pharmacy. A special thank you to granddaughter Melissa Fine for assisting with the care giving during the last week.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday evening, March 20, 2016 in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Zane Stuart and Rev. Brian Huff officiating. The family and friend will meet at 10:45 am Monday morning, at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 am interment
