Actor, comedy author. He is considered one of the best writers inspired by the everyday reality of Naples of the early twentieth century, and founder of a famous family of comedians. Indeed, Scarpetta was the natural father of Eduardo, Peppino and Annunziata (Titina) De Filippo. From his literary production of more than 120 works, after 1950 were produced films including "Miseria e Nobiltà", "Il Medico dei pazzi" and "Un turco napoletano", with the main protagonist Antonio De Curtis, known as Totò.
