Funeral services for James Clayton Hudson, Jr. age 67, were held Friday at 2 p.m. at New Providence Baptist Church. Rev. Cliff Leonard officiated. Burial was in New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.

Clayton was born in Florence, a son of the late James Clayton Hudson, Sr. and Marion McKeag Hudson. He was owner of Hudson Real Estate and served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Rehobeth Baptist Church in Florence.

Surviving are a special friend of Hartsville; one son, James Robert "Jim" Hudson of Florence; two sisters, Vickie Stokes and Ann Dubose, of Florence; four grandchildren of Florence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Eugene "Gene" Hudson, and his former wife, Sherry Hill Hudson.

Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, 1203 East Cheves St. Florence, SC 29506. Norton Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hudson family.
