James Claiborne, 64, of Route 2, Speedwell, died suddenly Saturday. He was a Veteran of World War II, a farmer, a former employee of Union Carbide in Oak Ridge and a Baptist.
Funeral services were Monday at Roach Funeral Home with the Revs. Howard Tapp and Ralph Mundy officiating. Burial was in Campbell Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Moyers Claiborne; three daughters, Mrs. Sue Spradlin of Jacksboro, Mrs. Pat Blanche of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Donna Robbins of LaFollette; three sisters, Jean Ayers of Jacksboro and Margie Pierce and Wanda Newsome, both of Chattanooga; three brothers, Jess and Conley Claiborne, both of Kokomo, Ind., and Otis Claiborne of LaFollette; and one grandson.
