She died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.
Born Nov. 6, 1906, in Mercersburg, she was the daughter of the late Percy E. and Daisy V. (Amsley) Mentzer and the widow of Paul L. Adams, who died March 27, 1982.
Mrs. Adams had worked in food service for Carlisle Area School District for more than 10 years at Crestview Elementary School and Carlisle Senior High School.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carlisle for more than 50 years and a long-time member of the Order of Eastern Star Old Bellaire Chapter 375. Family members say she enjoyed her grandchildren and taking walks.
Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter, Gertrude "Trudy" Adams Keller of Carlisle; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tonya Jane Keller, and a brother, William Mentzer.
The Rev. John L. Shellenberger Jr. will officiate at services. Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Middlesex Township.
Friends may call Tuesday at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m.
