Nebraska City Girl to Be Buried Friday Afternoon
Mary Ann Abbott, 19, Nebraska City girl, died at St. Mary's hospital late Wednesday after a month's illness. Death was due to complications from the birth of her son, Robert Lee, who was born March 17, 1931 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. (97362348)
Born in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Iowa, August 17, 1911, the girl had always made her home here. She attended Nebraska City schools and for two years was a telephone operator. Miss Abbott was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Jane Goldberry and Elsie Cohn, Nebraska City, Nebraska; four brothers, Adrian and Albert of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Peter of Percival, Iowa, and Adam of another Iowa town, and her mother, Fanny M. Abbott.
The funeral will be held at the home, Sixth Street and Eleventh Avenue, Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. A. F. Motter will be in charge and burial will be in Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Otoe County, Iowa.
The body is in state at the Fassbender Mortuary.
