Edgar Lee Bone of Alto, Texas, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Tyler, Texas.
He was born April 4, 1933 in Georgetown, Texas to parents Dewey H. and Myrtle Jenkins Bone. Edgar served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a meat cutter from Safeway Inc; he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June Wade Bone; grandchildren: Erika Chay Hall-Gowin and her husband Shawn Michael, Nathan Lee Hall and his wife Tamela Renee, and April Chanel Crockett and her husband Jason Paul; six great-grandchildren; son-in-law John R Hall and daughter-in-law Sandra Lee Bone and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Edgar was one of 14 brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Donna Lea Bone-Hall and son Edgar Lee Bone, Jr.
The family will receive friends for a visitation Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed by a burial in the Brookside Memorial Park.
