Roy “Butch” Edward Bilderbeck
Butch was born to Rudy & Thelma Bilderbeck in St. Louis Missouri. He was raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Throughout high school he played basketball, football and track & field. After high school he joined the US Navy, where he served as a corpsman. Once he completed service he started driving long-haul truck. This brought him to Tyler, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Lenda. Shortly after, they moved to Oregon and raised their three daughters. He drove for Weyerhaeuser until retirement. Butch was an avid reader and history & sports enthusiast. He enjoyed simple luxuries such as; coffee, sports center and watching birds. But, got his greatest joy in life by spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife, Lenda, siblings, Russ Bilderbeck & Kathy Strantz, daughters, Lisa (Tom) Spencer, Tammy (Jeff) Bilderbeck, Roy (Sandra) Bilderbeck & Tonya Bilderbeck, grandchildren, Tara (Jerad) Willett, Michael Spencer, Nicole Spencer, Jake (Abigail) Naeve, Travis Naeve & Ryley Bilderbeck, great-grandchildren, Jace Willett, Tyler Willett & Josie Spencer.
