Charlotte graduated from Greenbrier Junior College in Lewisburg, WV. She married Elmer G Walker on March 6, 1946, in Lewisburg. He died March 30, 1976. She then married Thomas V Carney on July 23, 1988, in Kankakee. He died April 29, 1995. She was predeceased by three brother, Bedford, Newton, and Craig Campbell, one sister, Janet Fry, and two sons, James and William Walker. She worked at Ashford General Hospital in White Sulphur Springs, WV, during World War II. After going to Kankakee in 1946, she worked at Kankakee Roper, A.O. Smith, the Y.M.C.A. for eight years, and retired from Kankakee Regional Office of Education after 16 years of service. She belonged to the Kankakee Emblem Club #414 and the Kankakee County Educational Office Personnel. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1959, having taught Sunday School, served as a deacon, and the chairman of the Mary Circle. She was an avid Cubs' fan.
