Carol L. Lynn, 80, a lifelong resident of South Connellsville, passed away peacefully Mon. March 14, 2016 in Mountainview Specialty Care, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 27, 1935 in South Connellsville a daughter of the late Lawrence O. and Edna B. Orndorff Burke. Carol was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1953. Prior to her retirement she worked as a Selector for the former Anchor Hocking Glass Plant in South Connellsville for 22 years. She was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church in South Connellsville and was also a member of the South Connellsville Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary.

Carol will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family, her husband of 61 years James H. Lynn Jr., her children Mark Lynn of Connellsville, David Lynn and wife Pamela of South Connellsville, and Laura Locke and husband Robert of Connellsville, her grandchildren Chris, David, Ryan, and Shane Lynn, Maggie Shaulis, and Elena Renze, her 7 great grandchildren, and her brother Donald A. Burke of South Connellsville.

In addition to her parents Carol was predeceased by her sisters Doris June Laugherty and Alma "Peep" Burke, and her brother Lawrence "Jack" Burke.

Family and friends will be received Wed. from 2-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St. Connellsville, (724-628-1430), where a funeral service will be held Thur. at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Stephen Lamb officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E201, Pittsburgh, PA. 15222, in memory of Carol L. Lynn.
