Mrs. Edna B Tingley, 83, wife of Earl H. Tingley of 736 Liberty St. was pronounced dead on arrival at City Hospital on Sunday, May 9, 1971. She had been ill for a short time.
She was born at Meadville on Nov. 21, 1887, a daughter of Fremont and Abigail Diehl Carman. She and Mr. Tingley were married on Oct 10, 1911, at Saegertown. Mrs. Tingley was a member of First Baptist Church and the New Loyal Sunday School Class and Ruth Circle of the Church.
Surviors include her husband; three daughters, Miss Grayce Tingley of Meadville, Miss Anna Tingley of Conneaut Lake and Mrs. Bechler (Marian) Melville of Culver City, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ketcham and Mrs Susie DeRemer, both of Meadville, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A daughter preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 7 tonight at the Charles R Hatheway Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. James E. Davis, assistant pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating, Interment will be at Gravel Run Cemetery, Woodcock Township. The family asks that memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
