Donald L. Burk, age 78, of Highlandville, passed away December 24, 2005, in his home. He was born September 13, 1927, in Reeds Spring, the son of Lawrence and Cora (Patrick) Burk.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
In 1948, he and Louise Grider were united in marriage.
Mr. Burk retired from General Electric, and was also a farmer.
He was a member of First Central Baptist Church at Green Mound.
He loved the time he could spend with his family, and especially adored his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his horses.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; five children, Jack Burk and wife, Cindy of Ozark, MO; Larry Burk of Highlandville, MO; Donna Pfister and husband, Jerry of West Plains, MO; Carol Nelson of Highlandville, MO; and Cheryl Johnson and husband, Stan of Ozark, MO; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Everett Burk, Cecil Burk and Bob Burk; other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be December 28, 2005, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Clifford Day officiating. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery, south of Highlandville.
