Wayne A. Bridge, 85 of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Vinton died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Wayne was born April 17, 1930 at Garrison to Arthur and Ella (Grimm) Bridge. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea. On February 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to Darlene Patricia Yirkovsky at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vinton. The couple farmed together on the Horace Thompson Farm for over twenty-eight years.

He enjoyed watching westerns, farming, square dancing, gardening, walking his dog, Carter and playing with his great grandchildren. Wayne always enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Wayne is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Doug Robison of Vinton; his granddaughter, Kelly (Rupert) Bannerman-Thompson of Vinton and great grandson, Reece; his grandson, Cody (Jenna) Robison of Brooklyn, New York and his wonderful dog, Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his siblings.
