Daughter of Jeremiah P. Phillips and Drucilla M. Clifton Phillips.
Wife of William "Willie" Arnold. Married the 2 Nov. 1901. Douglas Co. Mo.
Died from burns after falling in the fireplace while having an eplieptic seizure . Her husband was out doing the chores when it happened. She was holding her son but he fell away from the fire and didn't get hurt .
She lived a few days after the accident.
Mother of one son Roy Arnold.

Suggested edit: Mrs. Clara Arnold, wife of Willie Arnold of three miles south east of Ava, in some way let her clothes catch on fire last Friday evening about 3 o'clock while Mr. Arnold was out hauling wood, burning them completely off of her, which caused her death Sunday morning at 8 o'clock. There was no one present at the time of the accident, except Mrs. Arnold, and she never told how it happened. He arrived at home after she had almost suffocated. Dr. J. L. Gentry was immediately summoned but nothing could be done to save her. Her remains were laid to rest at the home grave yard on Cow Skin. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all.
