Mildred R. Kissler, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Greeley. She was born June 25, 1922, in Greeley, to George and Emma (Troudt) Sitzman. She attended school in Ault and Pierce. Mildred married Raymond Kissler on Nov. 18, 1943, in Greeley. She was raised in Greeley, and lived in Gilcrest for most of her married life. She spent the last four years of her life at the Bridge Assisted Living Center.
She was a homemaker and farm wife for most of her life. Mildred was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church her entire life. She was a member of the Farmerette’s, Gilcrest Circle and a volunteer at the North Colorado Medical Center. Mildred enjoyed embroidering, cooking, canning and playing cards.
Mildred is survived by her son; 2 daughters; sister, Dorothea Kler of Greeley; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kissler (Feb. 6, 1992); parents, George and Emma Stizman; brothers, Marvin, Clarence, Don and infant brother, George Jr.
A visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at St. Paul’s Congregational Church in Greeley. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Congregational Church in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 702 13th St., Greeley, CO 80631.
