Milwaukee Journal, Sat. Aug. 1, 1931. Milwaukee Fireman, Louis Besting, Dies. Louis Besting, 41, a Milwaukee fireman for more than 17 years, died Saturday morning at the Milwaukee county hospital after an illness of a year. Mr. Besting, who was born in Milwaukee, became a fireman at the age of 23 and continued in the service until a year ago, He is survived by two brothers, Claude and R.G. Besting and a sister, Anna Schuldt.
