Kenneth "Kenny" Marshall Holmes is the son of Euehl Marshall "Gus" Holmes and his first wife, Rebecca (Cline) Holmes Davis.

He had one sister, Vicki (Holmes) Neuman , and he had one half-sister, Jami M. (Holmes) Frizzell, by his father's second marriage.

Holmes, Kenneth "Kenny"

Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. today at Crestwood Cemetery for Kenneth "Kenny" M. Holmes, 56, Gadsden, who died Friday, March 19, 2004, after an extended illness. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Holmes was a graduate of Etowah High School and Gadsden State Community College. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherman and Nobie Cline and Cecil and Vicie Holmes; and brother-in-law, John Wigley.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca (A.C.) Davis; father, Gus Holmes and his companion, Ellijaye Steward; sisters, Jami Frizzell and Vickie Neuman; niece, Jessie Marie Frizzell; nephew, Eric Neuman; and a host of loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Judson Gilbert, Ed Smith, Michael Langley, Larry Rose, Danny Conner, Charles O'Rear, Bill Chance and Larry Means.

Special thanks to Gambro Dialysis Center, Dr. Harshad Patel, Dr. Elias Ghafary, Sandrea James and her daughter, Jessica.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 today at the funeral home.
