COLUMBUS, GA— James Ellis Belflowers, 73, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Parkhill Cemetery with the Rev. James Strickland officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus. Mr. Belflowers was born August 8, 1932 in Clio, AL., the son of the late Tiney Rackley Belflowers and Marion Belflowers. He was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett Belflowers. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Belflowers and Kathy Jo Belflowers; six sisters, Cloradine Scott of Columbus, Betty Peterson of Douglasville, Thelma Fowler and husband Wendell J. of Columbus, Shirley Hendrix of Columbus, Elizabeth Carswell and husband Curtis of Fayetteville and Marie Stephens of Americus; five brothers, Charles Belflowers of Box Springs, Joe Belflowers and his wife Felicia of Seale, AL., Sam Belflowers and his wife Sara of Columbus, Leon Belflowers of Box Springs and Robert Belflowers and his wife Elaine of Bardstown, KY.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
