CARLISLE - Carl R. Adams, 63, of 134 Elm St., died Wednesday in Carlisle Hospital.

He was retired from the Patriot-News Co.; a member of St. John's Lodge 260 F&AM, the Carlisle Fish and Game Association; Harrisburg Typographical Union 14, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1299, and the Cumberland County Firemans Association; a Carlisle High School graduate; and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are two sisters, Jean Bender of El Cerrito, Calif., and Nancy Adams of Pleasanto, Calif.; and a brother, Myrl of San Diego, Calif.

Services will be at 2 p.m. March 15 at the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kutz's Cemetery, Middlesex Twp.

Services for Carl R. Adams, 63, of 134 Elm St., Carlisle, will be held at 2 p.m. March 15 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.

He died Wednesday, March 6, 1996 in Carlisle Hospital.

Born Dec. 3, 1932 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Alfred G. and Mary Alice Wolfe (sic) Adams.

He was retired from the Patriot News Co. He was a graduate of Carlisle High School.

Mr. Adams was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of St. John F&AM No. 260 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1299, both of Carlisle; Carlisle Fish and Game; Harrisburg Typographical Union No. 14; and Cumberland County Fireman's Association.

Surviving are two sisters, Jean Bender of El Cerrito, Calif., and Nancy Adams, Pleasanto, Calif.; one brother, Myrl of San Diego, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn A. and Bruce Adams, and a sister, Helen Mowery.

The Rev. Howard A. Kerstetter will officiate at Friday's service. Burial will be in Kutz's Cemetery, Middlesex Township.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. March 15 at the funeral home.
