Lois Olivia Platt Bellamy, 89, died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 2, 1926 in Ash, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Platt.

Lois and her husband, Edwin, were the owners of The Lakeshore Motel in Little River for 33 years and she was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Edwin LaFate Bellamy; son, Edwin Keith Bellamy and his wife, Kris; daughter-in-law, Joy Bellamy; granddaughters, Bambi Dickinson (Dale), Meredith Bellamy McNeice (Andy), Ally Bellamy, Ashtin Bellamy (Thomas), Betsy Palmer(Chris); and two great grandsons, Brian Dickinson and Henry Keith McNeice; sisters, Edna Platt Bellamy (Pete) and Charlene Platt Johnson (Butch). She is predeceased by one son, Richard Alan Bellamy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 12 at First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach, Aunt Mary Platt Scholarship Fund, 200 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
