She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jesse M. Dangar; sister, Iva Parrish Levans; and brothers, Grady Parrish and Emmett Parrish.
Survivors include her son, Roddy L. Dangar of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Gail and Datha "Dee" Bell of Gainesville; granddaughter, Deena Ruth Bell of Miami; sister, Francis Parrish Cosby of Douglasville; plus a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
Mrs. Dangar was a member of Central Baptist Church in Gainesville and was a member for 40 years at First Baptist Church in Alpharetta. In both churches, she taught adult Sunday school classes, sang in the choir and worked diligently at Central Baptist to establish and work in a food and clothes ministry. She worked with her husband in his insurance, home building and real estate businesses, serving as an office manager and as a licensed real estate agent.
Mrs. Dangar was a very active volunteer in the community as a president of the Alpharetta Women's Club and Department of North Fulton County Family and Children Services.
Mrs. Dangar is fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her great passion in life was her family and her one and only granddaughter, Deena.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2008, at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Boone Strickland and the Rev. Ben Hatfield officiating. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. that afternoon at Greenlawn Cemetery in Alpharetta.
