Love was a daughter of Perry and Lucy (Fanny?) Holcomb who are buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Naples. She and her husband, William ran the Woodville Hotel. They had five children: Dora, Clara, Frank R., Robert C. and George Thomas. Along with her husband, they ran the Standish Hotel in Woodville, on the south end of Canandaigua Lake. She prepared meals for travelers, which were found to be delicious and filling.

Note:
An announcement in the 3/22/1915 "Geneva Times" regarding the Surrogate Court proceedings is interesting. It stated: "Love M. Standish of South Bristol, who died on December 15th, cut off two of her (sic) sons with a dollar each and left the remainder of her (sic) $2000 estate to a third son, George T. Standish of South Bristol, who is also named as executor."

Robert C. and F. R. Standish of South Bristol are the other sons.
