Norbert J. Carda was the son of Joseph Henry & Anna Benadine (Fladzinski) Carda. He grew up on Junction in Detroit.

Joseph had a younger sister Delores (Dixon) 1931-bef Nov 1994).

In 1942 Norby completed his night classes at University of Detroit and received his degree. On that same day he received his draft notice.

During WWII Norbert served in the USAF from June 1942 - January 1946 where he was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. He was discharged as a Sergeant.

On 10 Aug 1946 in St Francis Church, Detroit, Norbert married Stella Agnes Chrzaszcz the daughter of John & Helen (Kadela) Chrzaszcz, Sr.

After the war on 17 Dec 1947 he went to work for Ford Motor where he was an accountant.

Norby & Stella had a daughter & son, Mary Ellen & Garry Norbert. They lived at 7477 Grandmont in Detroit.

He is buried with his father Joseph & uncle George.

A grave next to Norby is reserved for his wife Stella.
