OBITUARY:
V.W. "DICK" CUMBY
TUSCOLA-- V.W. "Dick" Cumby, 84, died Sunday at an Abilene care center
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tuscola United Methodist Church with th Revs. James Martin, T.C. Melton and Scott Latham officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home.
Mr Cumby was born in Lawn and lived in the Rogers community before moving to Tuscola in 1948. He was a heavy equipment operator, most recently for Taylor County Precinct 3, where he retired in 1981. He was a stock farmer and a member of Tuscola United Methodist Church. He married Francis Jones in 1934 in Winters.
Survivors include his wife of Tuscola; three sons, James Cumby of Abilene, Tommy Cumby of Ovalo and Jackie Cumby of Tecumseh; three daughters, Wilda Burnett and Brenda Smith both of Tuscola and Karen Yost of Ovalo; one sister, Flossie Smith of Abilene; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.
