Helen Luree Dvorak, 91, Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on August 13, 1924 in Beatrice, Nebraska, the daughter of Albert and Bertha Moschell Pretzer.

After graduation from Beatrice High School in 1942, Helen taught elementary school for 15 years, and earned a bachelor's degree in education at UNL in 1948. At UNL, she joined Kappa Phi remaining active throughout her life.

Survivors include: husband of 60 years, Verne Dvorak; sons, Bruce (Karrie) Dvorak and Dennis (Leah) Dvorak; daughter, Carla (Edward) Lash; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Verne and Lloyd Pretzer.

Celebration of life on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Christ United Methodist Church. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Beatrice.
