James William Lipnitz was born in 1920 in Michigan. He was husband of Margaret. They had 12 children, 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was an Electrical Engineer with General Electric for 10 years and with ITE for 10 years before retiring in 1981. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the China, Burma, India Theater of Operations as a Technical Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps. He was a 1952 graduate of Syracuse University School of Engineering; a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers; a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars; and a member of China, Burma, India Veterans Association. He was a contributing author of the book 'Rim Country History' and a co-founder of the Northern Gila County Historical Society in Arizona.
