Chester Ray Warner, age 90, of Brainerd, MN, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Elim Care Center in Milaca, MN.

Chester was born in Jump River, Wisconsin to David & Dora Warner.

Chester served his country in the US Army during WWII. He married to the love of his life, Josephine Hines on June 25, 1946 and together they had five children.

Chet loved hunting and fishing. He was also quite a talker, and enjoyed visiting. He and Josephine also liked to travel.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 69 years, Josephine; children, Lillian (Robert) Neisse of Verndale, Hugh (Beth) Warner of Battle Lake, Helen (Dan) Carter of Brainerd, Rocky Warner of Brainerd and Edna (Chuck) Birchfield of Brainerd; 14 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents; 6 siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home-BRAINERD CHAPEL. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 4-7PM at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home-BRAINERD CHAPEL, and one hour prior to the service, Saturday.

Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager, MN.
